The American people have always been accepting of a wide variety of presidents be they protestant, white and male or white male and protestant.
I foresee a protestant white male leading the usa after bush steps down. Unfortunately the democrats aren't in touch with their sexist, racist, xenophobic voters. Sorry to the 49.999% of voters that aren't letting their prejudice cast their votes but you really did need to breed just that little bit more. (INSERT SAME SEX COUPLE JOKE HERE) |

Is America ready for possibly the first black male or woman president? I am ready, time for change is coming . I can see eyes rolling big time. Sorry are you saying the color of a persons skin or their gender has some bearing on a persons ability to represent the will of the people, rather than represent the will of special interest groups who are only concerned with controlling the economy & fleecing the common working class folks ? |

And Reagan wasn't a man... he was a moron from outer space (obviously a pathfinder for GWB)

The American people have always been accepting of a wide variety of presidents be they protestant, white and male or white male and protestant. just a short question, totally off topic here: Arent Americans generally protestants? So if they are, then they would obviously not have a problem with a protestant boss. A catholic one, now that would be a change |

I was watching the Classic Albums documentary on Who's Next by The Who. When old spoonface (Pete Townsend) wrote that line, "Meet the new boss, same as the old boss," he really made one of the most profound statements of his career.

I'll believe it when I see it. I predict same old same old. There has been no changes in US foreign policy for over 50 years, can't see it changing now. If the democrats win and can go there whole term without going to war somewhere I'll be impressed.

I watched Super Tuesday and I thought that Obama was an awesome speaker. Reminded me of Kennedy.
Just hope he does not end up the same way. Ultimately though I think Hillary will just squeak the nomination. |

there is a quote from "The West Wing":
Democrats want to downsize the army, but they want to sent it everywhere Republicans want to increase the army, but dont want it to go anywhere... I am not too sure who I would vote for, but I sincerely hope that Hillary is not going to become president. Huckabee is the one highest on my shitlist, but Hillary, or Billary, is a close second. Who knows but, whatever the outcome, they better start taking a second look at Russia. Putin is loving the way the Geneva Convention & International Law was just ignored when it suited and Guantanamo was just icing on the cake for him.
Americans and to a lesser extent the British never learned what it was like too live under the Nazis and then the Politburo, this is why they have so little understanding of foreign policy. Economics is much more important than equality when you think you are better than everyone else. Until that changes it will be business as usual, whether McCain, Clinton or Obama, the same lobby groups will get what they want. Profit ! |

Wouldn't it be cool if Hillary scraped-by and got the nomination through the establishment's super delegate vote, but then Obama said "fuck that!" and ran as an Independent.... and won the presidency.
Ooooh the very prospect of the US not just getting a Black president, but also a three party political system, is enough to make me all tingly. Pity it'd never happen though. |

Something has to give one way or the other. I believe Obama has what this country needs. Clinton is the same or worse than her husband. I mean think about this. Where are her morals if she willing stood by and watched her husband commit adultery. Plus she voted for this fictitious war. Her decision making sucks.

I know thats just cloud talk and all but, Australia has three major parties though what happens is the two least popular parties join together to stay competitive. Also parties would be more likely to split over issues rather than who their leader is. |
