Some Site History
Dididave started of life as CDDVDHeaven a long time back around 2002/2003 and was based around static pages with a list of .torrent links got form a few sites i used myself.
Old Site Layouts and stuff.
As can be seen from the above link CDDVDHeaven was a very very basic site and all torrents were uploaded by hand and a simple script arranged the .torrent files for download in some form of a page.
There was no tracking information but it was the start of my site and from there things started to change and not soon after CDDVDHeaven had it's own public tracker up and running using TheWatchers phpTracker as a source which later came to been known after many upgrades as TorrentTrader which is still used and seen around to this day.

As can be seen the Now so well known BAR disk was being uploaded by CDDVDHeaven back in 2003 and was still on CD's at 5 a week for the full set ??? Used to be hard going on basic ADSL connections and all seeding being done via a home connection-How Things Change.

Well CDDVDHeaven now had it's own tracker and was doing ok and it was not uncommon for the tracker to have some 100,000 peers at any one time reported on the stats page. If this was true is hard to say as phptracker was not the most stable of trackers and at times peers would be left when in fact had been and gone but the site itself was running and we had a growing membership.

We had come into the firing line of the MP@@ some 3 years after starting out and were one of the 6 sites they targeted for legal action.
Using the stats provided by the news item you can see CDDVDHeaven had come a long way from it's vary basic start.


Well CDDVDHeaven was not going to die and as the report above states the site remained in tact untill all site code had been transfered to my present host which we still operate from.The only thing we regreat is we did not carry the domain name over but at the time it was all a bit of a rush to get the tracker and users back online ASAP with as little if any downtime.The site was moved over and started operating even before CDDVDHeaven was switched off by myself and the then host i had and all data we wanted removed from the server was deleted and most of it edited with a little message to the MP@@ if they ever wanted to view the site data-PMSL.

DIDIDave.com The New Start
Just after we moved we decided to go private as many sites were doing now due to the pressures of the MP@@ and others so just after the site move the site was updated to use TBDev's Brokenstones source code which is still in use on DDT now but modded to hell with all manner of updates from the TBDev users and my own scripts.
As with all sites users come and go and so do staff.A few have gone onto create and start up there own sites some of which are still running to date and others have died due to staff or other problems of there own.
DDT now has a dedicated staff team which has been stable for many years now and all working in the same direction.

We are one of only a few sites that have come back after a close down via the MP@@ and still going strong even after at least 2 staff spilts since starting.
Most other sites would have curled up and died by now as many have -LOL

sorry to say that, but they treat people in a bad way, they can apply whatever rules they want but in a good way. someday i got a message that my IP is banned, then i sent a message to the help desk, to enable my static IP, the next day i found my download and upload and forum posts rights disablesd and also i got a warn with the reason which was using Egyptian IP, then i joined their IRC channel to see if there is a solution but they kicked me and banned me there also. i think they could do what they see right to their tracker but in a more nice way, not in such way Regards

Some IP range bans are put in place due to large scale cheating and bad users from some ranges.... If your not one of these sort of users but are effected we are very sorry but we protect the majority of users and not a small number that seem to think it\'s ok to cheat and otherwise disrupt the tracker and other users

I think my reply was to the point and the very fact i did say sorry if you were effected by a range i was not willing or able to do anything about it.
As i have stated in the reply you yourself have posted here - there are to many cheats and bad users having used that range and a great deal of Tor Proxy servers found using the same range also.

DDT have over 321 Range bans and these are there to protect the site and users -at least 75% of all users having used your range have been there to eaither cause trouble or for other reasons like cheating the site and users by using cheat clients and such like.
How we run the site is upto myself and staff and seeing we have been doing so for many years now and have a great many users happy with the way it's operated i'm willing to upset and lose a few users to keep a happy and safe site for the many others we have on site and join every day.

AGAIN -I'm sorry if your account was banned to a full range ban but with a dynamic IP such as yours it's impossable to create an account for you to use without removing the whole ban.

As to the static IP you say you have this can be added to the allowed list to give access to the site .....It's not somin we do very often as looking at your IP history we have yet to see the same IP used twice ????
If you would like to PM me your static IP i can add it and see where we go from there.....Your account is still active but due to the range bans can not be accessed untill such time we have a verified static IP to which to work with.....

I will not talk about how you manage the tracker working cause first it is not my right to discuss it second i really know that there a lot of problems from some IP ranges from Egypt and i know a lot of good members affected from that in a lot of trackers so this will not be a point of discussion cause i can understand your point of view in that.

but let us talk about the funny thing


is this an automatic reply?
first you talk about my dynamic IP (I had static IP when i banned), then you say it is impossible to create an account for me (I already created an account) and then you say that i say that i have a static IP (so it is not dynamic as before) and then my IP appeared twice in your logs but you still want me to PM you my static IP (isn't 2 times appearance is enough to know my IP?) and then you want to verify a static IP for me to use ( i already banned while i use a static IP for accessing the site and for accessing the tracker and also when i got banned from IRC)

this is the sequence
1- i found my IP banned.
2- i accesed the site using dialup connection to PM staff.
3- i sent a PM to help desk to enable my "static IP" (have a good look here).
4- next day i accessed the site using dialup connection to see what happened and
found 4 PMs
*disable download
*disable upload
*disable forum posting
*PM stating that i got a warn for using Egyptian IP and it was from a specific staff member
and "weirdly"!!! no answer from help desk ... or maybe that was the answer!!!

then i joined the IRC channel and talked with two members about my problem they said that it is probably not my problem and they said that usually my static IP will not be enabled (till this it is fine and it is the tracker right) then one of them said please wait ... i waited very short time to find myself kicked and banned from the channel from the same specific staff member who gave me a warn.
i never knew that i'm a very dangerous person before!!!

i can gave you a lot if info about my IPs history, but i think it is not needed cause the problem started while using my current static IP which i gave to the help disk as shown above.

thank you so much for showing your sorry for what happened and thank you for offering to help me in accessing the site again but i'm so sorry i'm not interested now in returning to the tracker.
all what i want is helping others for not facing the same treatment, and hopefully your staff be as flexible as you in what you offer now but starting from the reply of the help desk.

Staff are doing there job in the fact that when a new range ban is added they then go to each account affected and disable the account....
I cant and wont post your Full IP history here but i know what i see and none of the IP's used on site before or after the ban have been the same in fact if anything the ranges used are extream as listed below in a part IP list

Like i have said the offer is there for you to provide me with what YOU SAY IS A STATIC IP and i can add this to the allowed list on site....
The site is already coded with a IP Blacklist and IP Whit list ...The White list is used to allow access through a range ban.
How every it's only of use if the user has a true static IP.....which 99% of the time is a server owner very few users have a true static IP...

The offer is there and i have done all i can to help you now.....Staff are unable to do what i'm offering to do which and the time taken to sort out one such user would be a waste and are instructed not to bother with users affected via a range ban cos no matter what a user says they dont know them and cant know 100% what is told to them as being true ????? A range ban is not taken lightly as as you already stated yourself

Funny thing is you expect us to waste our time sorting such a issue out after what you yourself allready know and say understand !!!!!

i joined on 2 April 2008 and at that time i was using a static IP address from Egyptian ISP called link.net
and this is a static IP range from that company

and ended my account in 7 April 2008, try to find me another IP stored in your logs during this period

then i was checking the site for news until my new ISP start the service and that what related to all these IPs

these are dynamic IP ranges and for dialup service not ADSL, try to find any seeding or leeching during that period.

then starting from 8 May 2008 my new ISP start service and due problems i don't know, i was assigned the following IP 2008-05-08 15:16:28 217.54.194.xx which is not the one assigned by the ISP to me.

that IP i didn't saw before but it might be was due to a problem with ISP also

and here we have a very big gap...why? cause my IP didn't change during that period which was static one and had the form 217.54.192.x (don't know from where you got 2 digits and not only one digit).
and that was the time of real using of the site in downloading and seeding which is done using the following IP

these are dynamic dialup IPs i used to try solving the problem, one for sending a help desk message and the other in checking for the answer the second day and i think that is consistent with what i said had happen in my previous post.

and now i give my acceptance to filesoup admins to reveal to you my current IP to see that it didn't changed till now.

that is the whole problem... the way of treatment... which you tried your best not to talk about regarding the PMs i received and the warn and the ban from IRC.
that what i want people to know... how they will be treated in such cases
and as you said people will not have such opportunity like the one i have now, and i believe that this is true
so that is not a solution for such cases.

The same happened to me.
I am a french girl who moved to Egypt a few months ago.
I was warned for the same reason "using Egyptian IP"
when I joined their iRC to ask about the reason or at least to clarify that I am french, no one talked to me and I was banned even from the iRC channel.
I believe that some one there has a problem with the ban button. I think he is the same person who banned u.
I think he will ban all the members within a few weeks. then he will leech what he seeds (if he seeds). I am afraid that the tracker owner will be banned soon.

Any way, do not worry mate. you do not loss a lot by getting banned in this tracker. It is not one of the best and it will fall soon. I think that the oldest staff there is 2 years old.

Long Live TL, ethor, sct. I will prefer to use ipt than using dd.

For dd staff, Please delete my account, I am not interested in trackers with baby staff.

I'm sorry to say but if you had read the above starting post you would already see that DDT aka CDDVDHeaven has already been runing for more then 6 years ???? so where you get that it will fail soon is a bit of a daft statment to have made.

DDT operates a Full range ban on any country that shows more then a fair number of users there are cheating the system or using Proxie servers based at that location.
AS new accounts are created and these users then go onto cheat or cause trouble there range is banned.
If you have a problem with the range bans then i suggest you get onto fellow users in your own area and get them to stop cheating the systems on tracker.

Egypt is not the only location range banned but are also banned along with India,China,Israel along with a whole UK based ISP and a few other countries.

We feel thats it better to ban a whole country found to have a high number of found and prooved cheats then to let them keep joining and have staff wasting time hunting them down.
Once a range ban is in place no other user will be put out as they wont be able to join unless they go out of there way to find a none banned range or proxy (Tor) server ip to use ????

Again as i told Cucala I'm sorry if the ban due to other users at your location have ment you lost access to DDT but it's how DDT operates to protect it's membership and there are bound to be some users who are caught up in this through no fault of there own other then being at that location and same range of IP as known cheats.

I'm sorry to say it better to protect the site and the many rather then the few...............

Staff are only doing as told and acting within the set staff rules within DDT and banning ranges of known cheats from known High cheating countries is part of there daily tasks.
If a cheat was not found on your range it would not have been banned as staff dont go cheacking every single account on site to see where in the world a user is based ????? They only ban a range when a cheat has been found via the auto cheat scripts or by causing trouble else where on site !!!!!

I really did not know that DDT has already been running for more than 6 years now.

But, since:
1- it is running for more than 6 years now
2- not a lot of people know it
3- the content is not that great
Then:
1- DDT does not deserve to talk about.
2- No one should be sad that DDT blocked his/her IP range
3- we should not talk about DDT that much (But since I am free now, let's see how smart you are!!!)



I have some questions for you:
1- Why do u choose to comment on a certain parts of the replies and ignore the other parts? Does it mean that you are in a weak position or does it mean that you are not efficient enough??

2- You always say that you try to protect your tracker from cheaters, but you never talk about your rude staff. Why?

3- Can you please explain how u protect your trackers from cheaters by blocking IPs from iRC channel (Is it a new Technology that your staff use)?

4- Do you believe that DDT has a good staff members?


By the way, I insist that your little tracker will fall soon. I am sure your great staff will block all the world within few months and you will wonder where are my members!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope your staff members knew their IPs, so they can try to avoid banning themselves.

Finally, I do not talk to you because I want to go back to DDT, I only make a feedback for others about the way of treatment I met in DDT.
