I was really expecting 2wisted to have fixed this by now. I'd be tearing my hair out if I was you snookered! Makes me totally not want to build anything now.

The problem is definitely a short. My nephew came to help tonight so we unscrewed the motherboard and held in our hands whilst switching on and it booted fine, so as a temporary measure I have cardboard spacers inserted all over board slightly raising it.
Still have to find the exact place it's shorting though. |

m8 of mine had a similar problem a while back, turned out his case was very slightly twisted ,thus shorting the board and causing it to constantly crash
Sounds like it could also be your prob if the board works fine out of the case ? |

Just a far fetched thought, but are you sure the vga card is proper seated and all power is connected. I had a problem with that, but I also got a hell of a warning beep sound at boot.
I know you are no noob, but we all miss sometimes that wich should be most visible if you understand. Not sure how far I got to boot. Cannot remember. |
