Ferrari F430 Speciale

It’s the latest mule from the Prancing Horse! This is not a shock replacement for the F430, but the latest one-off ‘speciale’ that the Italian supercar maker occasionally builds for buyers with a fat enough wallet.


For around £1.5million, a handful of coachbuilders specially licenced by Ferrari will create an ultra-exclusive, ultra-valuable car for those collectors who find the stock Enzo, 612 Scagletti or F430 too common.

Some parts have to stay the same, such as front windscreens and essential crumple zones, and the headlights in this car are production items too. The wheels are also highly similar to the lightweight items found on an F430 Scuderia.

The rest of the design appears to be the work of the Fioravanti design house, which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. The strength of the design increases towards the rear of the car, with curvesand creases not seen on the standard F430, as well as more prominent vents on the shoulders and a completely reworked rear end. Plenty of black detailing and a pair of Ferrari 599 rear lights complete the look.

The roof is finished in carbon fibre, along with the mirrors and side skirts, cutting weight. The enlarged vents also aid performance by increasing engine cooling – although Ferrari stipulates that the drivetrains of these one-off models must remain untouched.

So, while you won’t be able to buy this one, save up enough cash and the Italians can make you your own speciale!source

Let me see what I can do. That Buggati Veyron is sure fun to drive but filling up every 16 minutes gets expensive fast. Maybe I can save some money by hypermiling.
