Hi guys

I am writing a shell script for unix in ksh, but i really want a windows based Shell script editor. I can't abide vi or emac, what i am looking for is a windows app that can colour code tag and loops. Anybody got any recommendations?

vi rocks! It's even got colour coding (in the vim variant). Also why ksh? Most people use bash I think

But you can try notepad++

Thanks for replying, unfortunatly i'm am writing this script for use on older variants of Unix (Sun, AIX, etc) which mean that the versions of vi within them are also of the older variety and also an explaination for why it ksh. TBH its a real nightmare to use it (No vim variant, no color coding, no plastic drinks cup holder) which is the reason for seeking an alternative. I need a application to use to code in windows environment and transfer over later.

Thanks for the app recommendation will give it a go, much appreciated.
