Hi,
I'm fairly new to this. I have downloaded a bunch of movies onto my Linux Ubuntu desktop. Some of them have .r00 within two different folders - like cd1 & cd2 - it would seem that there are similar files in both. When I click on one of them, it wants to create .avi file for a max of about 699MB. Can anyone fill me in here? What am I doing wrong? What do I need to do? Thanks all, Pierce |

It sounds to me that you have downloaded the movie in whats known as split rars. You'll need to install WinRar, if you haven't already, to open the 1st rar file & then extract the .avi contained within to a location of your own choosing. It will extract the file contained within all of the rar files at once.

Install unrar using synaptic
Then use an archiver or command line as unrar x filename.rar |
