Speaking at a press junket for his movie The Proposal, Ryan Reynolds was enthusiastic about early plans for the Deadpool movie, which he thinks will be a standalone feature.
"Without saying too much, I can't imagine that there's gonna be any tie-in to the Wolverine movie at all," Reynolds said. He wants to make Deadpool "as close to the comics as possible... I'm really happy, in these early talks, that the studio is as obsessed with making it as close to the comic book source material as possible." Within the Marvel Universe, Deadpool is unusual for 'breaking the fourth wall' and acknowledging his status as a comic book character. Reynolds hopes this will continue in the film. can't wait
I'm a Ryan Reynolds fan (partially because he's Canadian), I think he would bring the kind of comedy to it that keeps to the comics I love superhero movies, especially the ones as cool as Deadpool |

Thought he was guff as Deadpool in Wolverine, can't see him improving for this role.
