Hello everybody

Well, where do I start... Yes, my property has been returned, I took photos of everything as it was brought in and taken out of the evidence bags, I also recorded the audio while they were here.

Initially it looks like only a couple of things such as power supply units might be missing, but, as you will no doubt appreciate, there is a heck of a lot of stuff to check, it's going to take me some time to go through it all.

What concerns me the most about my property, is the condition it is now in... the way it was seized and bagged and how it was probably handled and transported to goodness knows where, the thought just horrifies me

It arrived back at my house like this:

Yes, that is the CPU heatsink and fan, not attached to anything, just hanging loose by its wire inside the case:



Not one of the system unit towers will boot up, which would enable me to test the HDs etc, the laptop was just stuffed back into the carry case and was not secured with the straps, the power brick, mains plug, accessories and leads etc were just shoved in there with it, the housing was gouged and scuffed, where the rotary volume control should have been, it isn't there anymore, it looks like it has been pushed into the laptop itself, so I can not trust switching it on, just in case something is shorted out inside ...nightmare I spoke with my Lawyer about it today.

I am going to try and get a system unit working so I can check stuff, see what is working or not

What logical reason would there be to desecrate your hardware like that? Looking for pirated software? Bastards. There's a toasty warm fire in hell waiting for whoever was responsible for that.
