Hi

Thanks to a couple of peopleI have now learned how to do this. Perhaps this can be used in the tutorial section? anyway here it goes...

Use SABNZB+... It usually takes care of most of the unrar and unpar for as part of its default workflow. There IS MacPar that will do the heavy lifting of unparing a really damaged file, and use Stuffit expander (free) for all other unraring needs.

Lifehacker has an excellent tutorial for setting up SAB here:

They don't run on Mac but you can run them in vmware on a MacPro you would not even notice it was running. On your machine that is a very good option if you want to be using what 90% of Usenet are using...although why you need to uhhhhummm download when you can afford one of those computers I am not really sure as you can afford the real route. wink.gif

The apps I like on OSX that will allow you to make full use of Usenet are:

NZBDrop
Unison
Rar Command Line
RarMachine
The Unarchiver
Little Snitch
Movist
ForkLift
iSFVm
MD5
MacPar Deluxe
Split & Concat
Mac Hacha
checkSum+
checkSFV

I had to answer your avatar is a kitty and I like cats!
