Of course. But I think over the course of time we'll see what people like or dislike. My favourite method is just to Google 'whatever I have in the fridge' + recipes. Works a treat. I've made stuff I would never have thought of myself like Caldo Verde, a Portuguese peasants' soup of cabbage and hot sausage.

What is Greek yogurt and black pudding?
I have lots of yummy recipes to post super simple too or I wont fix it My favorite thing for breakfast would be an American sausage patty and an American baking soda biscuit. Just like the one at McDonalds but homemade. Purrrrfect for me. Or salsa mixed with scrambled eggs and an english muffin. Ya yummy! Brunch though is a different story |

Black pudding is a sausage made with pig's blood. It's yummy! and gives you a heart attack PDQ.
Greek yoghurt is a solid plain yoghurt usually live. It doesn't usually let women talk or do anything except stay in the kitchen and cook while wearing black dresses. |

Somewhat predictable Brit, as it’s got to be the bacon & eggs / full fry up for me
Although it doesn’t have to be limited to breakfast time only, in fact when its ate at breakfast time then I usually have a problem moving or doing anything for the rest of the day As for the Ulster Fry, drool – just a shame about the arty farty cherry tomatoes, that seem to have contaminated its cardiac goodness |

QUOTE (BBB) Is this men I see talking of crepes, oatcakes, blueberry muffins, hot chocolate, whatever all that is... What's wrong with you guys It's not fear of a coronary that makes me eat a light breakfeast, it's my owl physiology. Unless I've been awake for an hour, smoked a few ciggies, and drank a couple of espressos, I can't eat anything. Similarly, when over indulging on stimulants, I need something that satisifies, but without really feeling like big food. Yoghurt, fruit, and grain seems to be edible, however early it is, or, however wired I am. Comes back the same way it went in too, without too strong of a 'second taste' or too many solid obstacles to choke over. ----- Someone mentioned not being able to rank recipes. Sure, you can't objectively say whether the finished dish tastes good, but you can rate how easy the recipe is to follow. Like a lot of aesthetic things, I think you can also rate whether a dish is 'high art' (like a novel: complex, challenging, capable of provoking thought) or 'low art' (like a slide: fun, but pretty obvious). Believe it or not Real Men DO eat Quiche!! They even know how to bake it themselves!! (so come to my house and teach me how to make a proper pie crust
Ok I tried Greek yogurt and it tastes exactly like sour cream It would make fantastic dips that are alot better for you than using sourcream. edited to add I forgot something that I had for breakfast when I worked in downtown Denver. There was this restaurant a block away from our office that made the most delicious Breakfast Burritos in the world. Damm these were soooooooooo good would get one a week. They were cheap too but were a heart attack just waiting to happen. They had scrambled eggs, ground charizo (fried till is was perfectly crispy on the outside) perfectly fried diced and seasoned potatoes, melted cheddar inside and out and the most incrediblebly delicious green chilie smothered all over. The restaurant if you are ever in Downtown Denver and if its still there is called Playa Azul. This post has been edited by Shebuddy: Aug 1 2008, 12:26 PM |

One of the best things America has lots of, that us brits don't have much of, is mexican food. Other than crap like TGI Fridays, there's only one really great Mexican place I know in London, Mestizo. Would love to be able to have burritos for breakfast, particularly with some spicy chorizo and chilli to wake me up.

A plate of fried MEAT with fried potato cakes, beans, fried eggs... very fussy bout the fried egg, the white has to be fully cooked but the yoke still liquid ! Hotel fried eggs are sickening, the white on top of the yoke is raw and makes me feel sick.
Food is usually the first thing I think of when I get up on a weekend morning. Black pudding, from my experience (England), is extremely cheap sausage soaked - SOAKED - in pigs blood, then sliced and fried. Disgusting. According to the movie Groundhog Day, there is something called bloodsausage in the US, which I presume is similar. White pudding is the same but minus the blood, and seems to contain oatmeal as well as the lowest grade meat scraped off the abbatoir walls. Not very satisfying. I'm hoping I'll get hit by a train or something when I'm older rather than suffer a heart attack. Now I'm hungry for a fry ! |

I normally don't have breakfast. But I do enjoy a bagel with cream cheese and a glass of milk. I have simple tastes.

I never would have imagined the different tastes.
I also can't believe nobody mentioned cinnamon rolls. How can you resist the smell? I guess my favorite is bacon and eggs with buttered wheat toast and extra crisp hash browns. |

Or I take a freshly baked 9 cents Baguette with cheese
Or I take Breakfast cereal Or something else that you can eat, most times I got some "ontbijtkoek" (not translatable) in home. Mostly combined with cheese. ![]() With a 4 cups of tea or so |
