I notice Deisel now up to 0.85euro/litre. (last year was 0.65euro/l) Deisel is cheaper than petrol here.

£1.09 a litre here in the north west of Anglitare. I get about 32.8 mpg (combined motorway and non motorway).
I have a beautiful BMW but I've given up driving as much as I can. Usually I now fly or catch the train, it's just too expensive to drive and too much hassle. Only the short trips / inconvenient journeys were I use the motor. |

South West Scotland £1.18 for regular unleaded and over £1.25 for diesel, what makes me wonder is this, Scotland produces 10 times more oil than it uses? So why is there an "oil crisis" here?

Wow, BBB, that's steep. We are still at about $4.00/gallon. The highest for 87 Octane is $4.23. Ironically, I'm driving an old truck that gets a whopping 12-16 MPG because my car is in the shop.

He means imperial gallons though Jeremy. 4.54l to your 3.78l per US gallon. I just paid CAN$129.9/l today here in BC. And I drive an old Chevy truck with a 350 V8. My mileage is probably 10mpg or less.

87 unleaded (non-race fuel) - $3.99-$4.29
Deseil- $4.79-4.95 There seems to be a $5 barrier on deseil, which has 'sat' there for over a week. Got 24.67 MPG this past week. Am going to try reducing my highway speed to 50 MHP (from the speed limit of 60 MPH) and see how it affects my fuel economy. |

QUOTE $5 barrier on deseil I paid £1.36 a litre today thats about 13 dollars... Something I just noticed since checking my reciepts closely now theres a credit crunch.. Our government adds about 90p on a litre of fuel TAX... We also pay 17.5% VAT on the fuel including the Tax. We are paying TAX on the TAXes.... this is F&^%ing B^%$*rd Mot%^*fU7678G insanity..... |
