What a good game. After conceding that goal early on I was worried we might let our heads drop. Great performances all round, Alonso, Kuyt and Babel were on top form!
And to think, we didn't even need Torres... Y.N.W.A. |

Who's a one-man team now?
Only another 34 like that to go. Will be between us and Chelsea, I reckon, with ManU too far behind already. |

it'll be a cold day in hell before you rival our record.
You were outrun, outpassed and outplayed. Roll on the return leg at Old Trafford, I'm looking forward to it already. |

I have a good feeling about this season. We (Liverpool) may not win but we are definitely playing much more positively than we have in past seasons. We are still tied on points with Chelsea for first and it's almost December, and we've been without Torres for much of the season. The only frustrating thing - the thing that still worries me - is that we still aren't scoring enough goals to match the level of domination we display in some games. Bolton was a prime example; if that goal before half wasn't disallowed we would've been tied despite how much we outplayed them. But on the whole, I have had very little to complain about so far this season. I think the greatest thing is the belief being shown by the players, as well. They're not intimidated by anyone and they never give up.

Can't see us (sorry, Liverpool) winning the next 9 on the bounce though
We need Arsenal, Villa and City do us (sorry, Liverpool) a massive favour to stand any chance and then there's still Chelski in front on GD. We (sorry, Liverpool) have to get rid of these stupid blips that we (sorry, Liverpool) get every season whereby we (f*ck it, I'm bored with it now) go on a run of losing / drawing a huge chunk of games. Beating Chelsea and Man U both home and away has been great this season but you can bet they'll be out for revenge big time next season. That means we have to start beating (nay, thrashing) the likes of Boro and Stoke and even the good mid-table teams like West Ham. Talking of which, what are the odds of Sheffield United getting promoted next season now that they've got all that cash? |

Yeah couldn't agree more. Although it's not the losses that have been the trouble it's been the silly draws where our confidence seems to wane temporarily.
Always nice to leather the Mancs though, especially when they've been trapping off all season! QUOTE We, us, you? Are you guys all on these teams? Makes me laugh. It's a tribal thing, arrgh. When you support a side you're part OF the side. This post has been edited by m15hun: Mar 18 2009, 07:15 PM |
