I'm currently putting together a 6 hr compilation of music for a wedding party and will be playing it back on my ipod through a soundsystem. The trouble is, on iTunes the settings allow for tracks to blend (i.e. 1 track fades out whilst the next fades in over the top) so you have a seemless stream of music. I want to achieve this effect for the party so thougth the easiest thing would be to creat one large mp3 file from 6hrs of individual mp3s all mixed together (i.e. avoiding the silent gaps between tracks). Does anyone know a straight-forward, easy to use application that I could load mp3s into and have them fade in/out that would then allow for an output mp3 to play on the ipod? Cheers |

Audacity is free/open source. Give that a try.
