You mean Netgear WNR2000. It'll be the router that virgin gave you when you got their 50mb connection.

To get to the router settings type 192.168.1.1 in the address bar of your browser. The default name & password that you'll need to enter are admin & passowrd.

In the side panel under Advanced choose Port Forwarding/Port Triggering. You'll see a page the same as the screenshot below.

Before we add the required info into that page you'll need to know the local ip of your pc & the port number you are using for utorrent.

To get the local ip go to your control panel\network connections. Double lick Local Area Connection & look under the Support tab. There you'll see the local ip. It will probably be 192.168.1.100 or something very similar.

Next open utorrent & look at Preferences/Connection. There will be the port that you are using. Best to use something over 50000 I was told long ago. Make sure "Randomize port each time utorrent starts" is unchecked.

Now go back to the router page & click the "Add Custom Service" button. Choose a service name eg: utorrent. Service type TCP/UDP. Put the port you use for utorrent in both Start & End boxes. Lastly add your local IP as Server IP Address. Click Apply & you're done.

Personally I didn't think much of the Netgear WNR2000 & switched back to using my old Lynksys. Watch out for the WNR200 dropping your net connection for a couple of mins on a weekly basis when it renews the DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol).

I always set my local ip manually. To do this I go to control panel/network connections. Under the general tab choose properties. In the box that appears I scroll down to Internet Protocol (TCP/IP). Click properties again & select "Use the following IP address". For this machine I use 192.168.1.100. Subnet mask will automaticially fill itself in. It's 255.255.255.0 through my Lynksysy but it was slightly different going through the Netgear. I can't remember the exact number now. Default gateway is 192.168.1.1.

There is a complete guide here that explains (with screenshots) how to portforward the Netgear WNR2000 and configure µTorrent to work with it.
