I have never downloaded a torrent before, and now that I am trying to, it seems I can't get my computer to download.
The progress bars are red, there is nothing showing for "Time remaining", or for "Down rate". Stats show 0 kb/s The bottom right hand corner says "checking for firewall". Can anyone help me? Thanks, Brian |

Ok brian. We will need a little more info like what client are you using,are you connected to the net through a router or is your pc connected directly to the net.Now I personally use Utorrent which can be found here.Utorrent We are also going to need to know if you are fire walled is it windows itself or are you running second party firewall.You need to allow your torrent client access to the net so make sure what ever client you are using it is in the allowed parameters of your firewall

Here's a link to a bt guide that snookered showed me a while ago. Take a look through, Fuzzy, and it should be able to answer most, if not all, of the questions you have about downloading using torrent files.
