Strange Error in USB

Looks like maybe the FAT has become corrupted
 Try plugging it into another USB port and/or another computer, see if it's the same there too  |

Is it a usb stick or hard drive? What type of partition is on it (fat32, ntfs, ...)?

 Try to repair it with recuva, afterwards format it and check the partition for "bad clusters". Not too familiar with usb stick technology, but I think there is a maximum to the number of times you can write to it. It might be worn out.

That's a large usb stick just to support FAT-32 (which won't support files 4GB or larger). My 8 GB flash drive was FAT-32 but I had no problem formating it NTFS. |
