I am getting regular (once or twice per day) BSOD's which when debugged indicate that this is attributable to 'athrusb.sys'. Quick search on google shows this to be a wireless driver.
I have a Siemens 108 Gigaset wireless stick installed but un-installation and re-installation has failed to solve the problem. The 'problem' driver is located in the following directory: \SystemRoot\system32\DRIVERS\athrusb.sys To solve the problem, can I just delete the driver in that path or will this cause stability problems (or perhaps even worse!). Any help much appreciated. Thanks B |

If you delete that you can know for sure your wireless will not work. In terms of stability, it is a toss up with Vista. If uninstall is an option do it from device manager (found in ctrl pannel), rather then just deleting the file. It may also just be a Vista problem, meaning you need to get your self a copy of Windows XP.
