Hello,
I'm not sure if this is the right section for this topic , if it is not please move it to the right one  I read about the DHT implementation in the bittorrent protocol, but there is something that I dont understand. When I open a .torrent file with the client how does the client find other DHT nodes to make requests to ? Is there any entry with the ip and port in .torrent file ? I read something like that in the bittorrent.org and I opened many .torrent files to find this entry but without success. if anyone knows how the client finds other dht nodes to connect to, I would be grateful to hear

Sometimes there's an entry in the torrent file for it, sometimes there isn't.
When there isn't you need to work from your own cache. Openoffice torrents have the key for adding DHT bootstrapping from a .torrent. |
