Pretty expensive... Prices change all the time, but at current prices (IE at the time I post this) a very reasonably priced 250GB 2.5" SATAII SSD drive will set you back £360 (around US$590 in colonial money). In this clip, they used 24 such drives, which means the drives alone would cost you £8640 (US$14,100)
Say another £200 for the dual quad core mobo, and £400 apiece for the CPU's, thats another £1000 (US$1,600). Two HD 4870 X2's at £250 each, 4GB of FB-DIMM at say £100 and two 1000w PSU at around £120 a pop. Excluding cables, case, monitor etc, that brings the whole lot in at just under ten and a half thousand pounds, or just over seventeen thousand US dollars. |

We just need FTTH (Fiber to the home) internet at 1Gbit/s and all those SSD drives to achieve speed.
